Our cold process artisan soaps are handcrafted in small batches using skin-loving oils, butters, and carefully selected ingredients.

And yes—all true soap is made with lye! 🧼

Lye (sodium hydroxide) is an essential part of the soap-making process. During saponification, sodium hydroxide reacts with the oils and fats to create soap. Once the saponification process is complete, there is no lye remaining in properly made soap.

This is also why our cold process soaps need to cure for 4–6 weeks before they are ready to enjoy. The curing process allows excess water to evaporate and gives the bar time to harden and develop its best performance.
