Shea butter works like an emollient. It might help soften or smooth dry skin. Shea butter also contains substances that can reduce skin swelling. This might help treat conditions associated with skin swelling such as eczema.

It's high in essential fatty acids, which help build the skin barrier. Another benefit of Shea butter is that it is tremendously effective in getting rid of stretch marks and wrinkles. This is because it acts as a moisturizer and has skin tightening properties. 

How to use:

When using shea butter, it is actually recommended that you leave it on overnight, allowing it to fully absorb into the skin. While some people may worry that this amount of moisture can clog pores, shea butter is non-comedogenic, meaning that it more then likely will not clog pores or cause breakouts. Everyone’s skin is different, please know we can not guarantee that you will not have breakouts. 

Applying unrefined shea butter in small amounts several times a day is most effective. Do not apply shea butter on wet skin or wet hair. Towel dry first to allow the unrefined shea butter to go on smoothly. Texture Variations Due to Weather - may melt during the heat of summer.  It will still have same benefits.  During the winter, shea butter will be harder due to the cold.
