About Our Artisan Cold Process Soaps

Our handcrafted artisan soaps are made in small batches using skin-loving oils, butters, and carefully selected ingredients. Each bar is created using the traditional cold process method, which uses sodium hydroxide (lye) to transform oils and fats into soap through a process called saponification.

While all true soap is made with lye, the finished soap does not contain active lye. During saponification, the lye combines with the oils and fats to create soap. Once this process is complete, the soap is cured for 4–6 weeks to allow the bar to harden, develop its beautiful lather, and provide a longer-lasting experience.
